Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all purchases of gemstones from Global Sourcing (business registration W/A 68694), trading as Global Sourcing Gems and Jewellers, a gem dealer licensed by the National Gem & Jewellery Authority of Sri Lanka (Licence No. 20264DL40966). By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

Our gemstones

All gemstones we sell are natural and of Sri Lankan origin. We disclose any known treatment, such as heating, for every stone. Weights and dimensions are measured carefully but may vary slightly. Colours in photographs and videos can differ from the stone itself depending on lighting and your screen.

Prices

Prices shown on this website are for individual buyers and are subject to confirmation at the time of your enquiry. Wholesale prices are available to trade buyers and are quoted individually. Unless agreed otherwise, prices exclude shipping, insurance, certification and any import duties or taxes in your country.

Orders and payment

An order is accepted only when we confirm it to you in writing. Payment terms are agreed before dispatch, and ownership of the stones passes to you only once payment has been received in full.

Memo consignments

Stones supplied on memo remain the property of Global Sourcing until paid for in full. Each memo consignment is governed by a written memo agreement that sets out the stones, their agreed values and the return date. The recipient is responsible for the stones, and for any loss or damage, while they are in the recipient’s possession. Memo terms are offered at our discretion and may be withdrawn at any time.

Shipping

Stones are exported from Colombo with the required documentation and dispatched by insured, tracked courier. Delivery times are estimates. Any import duties, taxes or customs charges in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility.

Certification

Laboratory certification is available on request at the buyer’s cost unless otherwise agreed. Where a stone is sold with a certificate, the description on that certificate prevails.

Liability

Our liability for any stone is limited to the price paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Colombo have jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions about these terms may be sent to info@globalsourcinglk.com.
