We work directly with miners, cutters and dealers across Sri Lanka’s gem districts, which allows us to offer trade buyers genuinely competitive prices, consistent supply and the flexibility of memo terms.

Buying close to the source keeps our margins honest. Single stones, matched pairs, calibrated melee and parcels are all available at trade prices.

Reputable companies may receive selected stones on memo, without payment in advance. Write to us and we will tell you whether your business qualifies.

Our Story
Global Sourcing commenced business in Colombo in 2006. Our focus is Sri Lanka’s natural coloured gemstones, the sapphires, spinels and rare stones that have made the island famous among jewellers for centuries.
We buy in the traditional gem markets, inspect every stone ourselves, and describe each one plainly, including any treatment. Our clients range from private collectors to established jewellery houses and gem traders abroad.
